Turning the corner....

There are several large milestones that every little person must cross...

• learning to roll over
• learning to crawl
• learning to walk
• learning to talk
• learning to eat solid food
• learning to go to the potty

AND

• learning to sleep in a big boy bed

Two nights and two naps ago, we made the transition for Brody. We did some purposeful training on not getting out of the bed once he's in it for the night/nap ...and he's done really well! AND, he's really excited that, because of his self control and obedience, we gave him some new Toy Story sheets today. (I'm thinking he's going to be so excited to sleep on them tonight, he might have a hard time sleeping for grinning.)

Meanwhile, Mommy is doing fine, thanks for asking. I'm feeling really proud of myself that I've not had breakdown every time he has gotten ready to get in his new bed. I'm thinking I'll be over it just about the time he's ready for Kindergarten (just in time to have another major meltdown).

My baby is really growing up and this Mama is looking down the path and seeing ahead the milestone corners yet to turn and am praying for this superhighway of life to slow down so I can soak it all in, one turn in the road at a time.
