My friend, Carrie Davis, might have made up this word...I'm not sure (even though she is NOT a "slogger")... at any rate, I love it - because recently it describes me perfectly. So sorry.
However, I'm (once again) running 100 miles an hour trying to keep pace with my break-neck-speed life and I'm wondering, 'Why am I going so fast and furiously?... So I can miss one more moment to hear the Lord? So I can pass one more teachable moment with my kids? So I can say, at the end of my day, I did all the things on my to-do list?'
Ecclesiastes 2:11RUBBISH.
"But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless—like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere."Ever get that feeling? Are you a fellow "wind-chaser"?
So - I'm here as a self-declared "slogger" to let you know that I'm taking a sabbatical from my crazy feverish life for 10 days... I'm headed to Northern Ireland with Brody to see my sister for a little "Sister Time" and R&R - Greg and Ethan will be holding the fort while I'm gone, and having some "Boy Time".
Above all, I hope to have some moments (even if they are not necessarily quiet!) to hear from the Lord, reconnect with my precious sister and her family, and remember what it's like to feel the wind instead of chase it. Ahhh. Can't wait!! ;)
Won't be long with pictures and posts, but for now, here's a few to hold you over.

Have a wonderful trip! The boys are amazing just getting so big and even more handsome!
I love those boys. Riley (and the rest of us) misses them DEARLY. We still smile and "do names" everyday. Blessings upon your trip!
