The US beat Brazil today, July 10, in over 120 minutes of regulation play time and into penalty kicks. 2-2 at the whistle, 5-3 in the penalties. Abby Wambach scored the winning and latest goal in World Cup history at the 122 min. mark. Yes - you read it right - 90 minutes of regulation, 2- 15 minute over time periods and penalty kicks - and the USA pulled out a miraculous win. Oh, and did I mention they played over 45 minutes a man down and with several bogus calls and yellow cards? That's right - that's Team USA.
Penalty kicks were made by Shannon Box, Carli Lloyd, Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger. It was completely amazing.
ESPN is already calling it one of the most memorable games in women's sporting history... and my husband is part of the team.

I simply can't believe they did it... they are on their way to the Semi-Final round of the World Cup to play France in Monchengladbach on Wednesday at 11:30am. Don't you worry, I'll be watching.
Greg - I'm so proud of you... there just aren't words.
